The library of Amman

The institute in Amman has a library specialised in the history and archaeology of the Near East with more than 11.000 volumes. The library is a unique resource of archaeological German-language literature in Jordan and is open to researchers, students, and other interested persons. It is one of the largest libraries in the country for classical archaeology, but also includes literature on theology, modern Orient and Islam.

The library catalogue is available online.

The library is reference-only. Lending is not possible. However, substantial work space is available.
