Preserving the Past for the Future: Protecting and managing museum inventories in Jordan

In January 2017, a new collaborative project between the German Protestant Institute of Archaeology in the Holy Land (GPIA) and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan (DoA) was established.It is financed by the Gerda Henkel Foundation,whose main objective is tosupport the historical humanities, mainly history, archaeology, the history of art and other disciplines with a historical component; in this particular instance, the project is designed to fund a “Patrimonies”initiative.
