How to reach us!

The Jerusalem Institute has been housed since 1982 in the “Cana’an’schen house” of Auguste-Victoria-area on the Mount of Olives. The bell tower of the Protestant Church of the Ascension is from afar as little guidance.

By bus from West Jerusalem

From the Central Bus Station in the western part of Jerusalem, take the lines 26 or 68 in direction “Mount Scopus.” After about 25-minute ride, the bus reached the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus. Now lie still for about 20 minutes walk away from you. The direction will assign the bell tower of the Evangelical Church of the Ascension. Go to the Martin Buber Street in a southerly direction down. Then take the next left, then right again on to the Binyamin Mazar-Street. There you go along to the University until you turn about 600 meters turn right again at the Martin Buber Street. After another 300 meters on the left side of the Auguste-Victoria Compound. Now it is only about three minutes walk to the institute. From the main gate of Augusta Victoria Compound, go to the hospital and the Church of the Ascension. Keep right and follow signs to the compound. After passing the church turn left (not sharp left). Then follow the path up to the gate of the institute.

By bus from East Jerusalem

From the bus station on the Arabian Sultan Suleiman Street, opposite the Damascus Gate, take line 75 direction “Mount of Olives.” The large buses stop after about ten minutes (two official stops) at the entrance of Augusta Victoria Compound. However, you should inform the bus driver about the destination beforehand. Without adequate information, the bus takes a different route. From the main gate of Augusta Victoria Compound, there are still about three minutes walk to the institute. Go to the hospital and the Ascension Church, bear right and follow the signs to the compound. After passing the church turn left (not sharp left). Then follow the path up to the gate of the institute.

Please note that Arab buses and bus stops away from the official record for passengers and to get off.

By taxi

Upon request, the Nesher taxi ride directly to the Auguste-Victoria Compound. From the main gate of the compound, there are still about three minutes walk to the institute. Go to the hospital and the Ascension Church, bear right and follow the signs to the compound. After passing the church turn left (not sharp left). Then follow the path up to the gate of the institute.

Ask before you get into a taxi, how much will the trip cost. A ride from Damascus to the cost-Auguste-Victoria Compound Nesher with a taxi about 30 to 40 NIS *. From the airport Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, you can expect about 56 * NIS.
